Day 1
Let the wellness holiday begin! Dive straight into a Julma Spa Treatment after checking in at Daintree Ecolodge, or just relax in your room, before local Kuku Yalanji man, Juan Walker, invites you to a soul-stirring Welcome to Country ceremony on the waterfall deck.
During a Welcome Circle and restorative yoga class with Emily – and bringing Juan’s cleansing and spiritual words with you – you’ll feel yourself becoming more present, more relaxed, and in the right headspace for a journaling exercise.
Intentions set, it’s time to make your way to Julaymba Restaurant for a hyper-local three-course dinner surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.
Day 2
Wellness holidays can take many forms but here a short yoga flow and breathwork session is the best way to ease into a day of rainforest and Daintree River immersion.
After an a la carte breakfast, take a leisurely stroll through the rainforest to discover the Daintree Ecolodge’s private onsite waterfall. The waterfall and swimming hole is sacred to the Kuku Yalanji women; for thousands of years they’ve bathed in its waters for healing and spiritual beliefs.
The rest of the day is yours to spend as you please – enjoying some downtime or slipping into the spa for a treatment before a 3pm yoga class. You might also opt to join a spying crocodiles and an amazing array of birdlife, tree snakes, frogs and spiders (all seen from the safety of your boat).
This evening a tropical BBQ will be served in the gardens.[vc_single_image image=”3527″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”]
Day 3
Morning yoga and breathwork is guaranteed to have you floating into breakfast.
There’s plenty of free time in the itinerary today, ensuring you can rest, read, and recharge in a way that truly serves you. You might head to the spa for a Julma Spa Treatment and/or join a half-day Ancient Rituals Workshop after lunch.
Harnessing the oldest healing science in the world, Ayurveda, this workshop will teach practices to promote health, beauty and longevity. Namely, Abyhanga or self massage which promotes lymphatic drainage, reduces stress, reduces the signs of ageing and stimulates digestion. You’ll make your own beautifying face mask and take home a special massage oil to continue this self-care ritual at home.
Continue the deep relaxation theme with a Yoga Nidra class before a six-coure degustation dinner.
Day 4
By now, you’ll feel a healthy habit starting to form with morning yoga and breathwork sessions while a meditation and Closing Circle will help to solidify your intentions post-wellness holiday.
Enjoy a leisurely a la carte breakfast before checking out or linger longer to enjoy a spa treatment or optional tour to Mossman Gorge.
