Fisheries on the Spit, Mooloolaba
It’s surprising how often you’ll go to a fish and chip shop near the beach expecting fresher than fresh food and instead get something that was obviously bought from a supermarket and defrosted. Luckily we have the inside world on the best fish and chips on the sunshine coast. It called Fisheries and it’s the straight forward no frills fish, fresh fish and chip joint of your dreams.
Spirit House, Yandina
You can’t write a list about Sunshine Coast Restaurants without mentioning spiriting house. This is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. Tucked away in a rainforest, Spirit House has been described as looking like a tropical film set. The building is a styled to look like an ancient temple and is surrounded by bamboo on the bank of a large tranquil pond. We haven’t even mentioned the food yet! The Thai style menu is breathtaking.
